Board of Directors
To manage the Association the MVA membership elects new or returning Board of Directors members annually for two year terms from its membership.  A minimum of 5 and maximum of 17 directors can serve at one time.  The Board is comprised of four officer positions (President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer) and up to 13 Directors, all of whom have one vote in all Board matters.  Officers and Directors should represent a cross-section of merchants in the Village, both retail and professional/service. 

A paid Executive Director reports to the Board and performs functions assigned by them.

An Executive Committee, composed of the Association’s Officers, meets as needed to act on behalf of the Board and/or to provide guidance to the Board.

A Nominations Committee is responsible for obtaining qualified Board candidates for review by May of each year.  A roster of Board-approved candidates is sent to all MVA members in June for ratification.  Ratified members begin their term on July 1 and end on June 30.  Existing Board members may be re-elected to subsequent terms if approved and ratified.

Board meetings are held the first Wednesday evening of each month and at other times as may be deemed necessary.  These meetings, like all MVA meetings, are open to the pubic.  Merchants and interested community members are always welcome to listen and share any concerns or ask questions.
