Farmers' Market
Location:
La Salle Ave between Mountain and Moraga Ave.

Every Sunday
9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Started in 2005 this Sunday gathering of fresh, organic produce, coupled with a wonderful selection of prepared foods to go, has become a Montclair tradition for area shoppers. The Market is managed by Urban Village Farmers' Market Association and features fruits, vegetables, meat, seafood and prepared foods from approximately 40 area farmers and food purveyors.

The Market is open every Sunday except for the Sunday of the Jazz and Wine Festival (Sep 13 in 2009).

Parking is free in the Village Garage at the top of La Salle Ave. on Sundays, making it convenient to park and shop in the Market.

Montclair community groups are welcome to use the Community Booth space inside the Farmers' Market on an availability basis during the year. These groups are permitted only if they are providing information. Selling products or services is not allowed. To check availability and schedule a date, E-mail Niels Dahl-Jensen (Montclair Estates), the Market Committee Chair, at montclair-estates@pacbell.net or give him a call at 339-6505. You can also contact the MVA office if that's easier.

Village merchants are welcome to use the MVA space inside the Farmers' Market to promote their business. To check availability and schedule a date, E-mail Niels Dahl-Jensen (Montclair Estates), the Market Committee Chair, at montclair-estates@pacbell.net or give him a call at 339-6505. You can also contact the MVA office if that's easier.

Other groups may have a table outside the Market to sell baked goods, etc. However, please check with Niels Dahl-Jensen (Montclair Estates), the Marketing Committee Chair, at montclair-estates@pacbell.net or give him a call at 339-6505 to ensure there is enough space. We don't want shoppers hounded by too many outside activities to the point where they feel the Market is an unpleasant experience. You can also contact the MVA office if that's easier.

Anyone wishing to be a vendor in the Market should contact Urban Village Farmers' Market Association directly. There is a waiting list and vendors are selected on compatibility with local Village merchants.
